12:42 25/10/11 Ive been an occasional visitor for several years now. The recent improvements have been just that, although it would have been difficult to suggest what they should have been prior to that.

21:52 23/08/11 Visited The Old Reindeer this afternoon on the recommendation of our son who regularly visits on a Sunday with his friends for the carvery. We also had the carvery with a choice of two roasts and 6 other dishes, including pork, beef, turkey, sausage and home made pies all beautifully cooked. The food was great with a choice of 4 types of potato, steamed and roasted vegetables and fantastic value for £6. We will certainly be back, sooner rather than later. I am not surprised that this pub has been recommended in the good pub guide and highlighted by the Daily Telegraph. It is obviously a well run pub, independently owned. Drinks prices are reasonable too. I am told that there is a greater selection on a Sunday. We visited on a Tuesday. What a little gem.

22:03 09/07/11 Thi pub was vary nice my family and i visit today and have drink in bar where friendly youn boy with brown hair made us laugh. He made children happy and was pleasant. boy on bar had beautiful smile and made mai wife happy he did make the stop in the pub worthwhile. really go to the pub and se for yoursef drinks are nice food is delious.

18:18 19/06/11 saw this pub when travelling to southwell thought we would see what it was like everything aboutit was fantastic staff/food/service was really good throughly enjoyed meal and will definitly be returning

15:47 25/04/11 I last visited this pub a couple of months ago, coming from Penistone I can only pop in when I''m the area. I wish I was in the area more often. I''ve always enjoyed my visits, & would like to thank the landlord & all of his staff for quality of food/service/well kept beers/& value for money that a lot more pubs could learn from. The new conservatory is an excellent addition.
